Moranne

How we keep this safe.

Nine promises. We wrote them in plain sentences because you are probably reading this in a parking lot with four minutes to spare.

Effective 14 August 2026 · Policy version 2026-08

Adults only, and every account is verified.

Moranne is for parents and caregivers eighteen or older. You confirm that before you reach the community, children may not create accounts, and no child has a profile here. Every account is verified — a confirmed email address or a Google sign-in — so the person in the circle is a real, reachable adult. We do not ask for a date of birth, an ID, or a document.

No searchable child profiles. Ever.

There is no field anywhere in Moranne for your child's full name, school, diagnosis list, birthday, case number, address, or photo — and image uploads are switched off entirely. Nothing you write is indexed by search engines, nothing is visible to anyone who has not signed in, and your words never appear in a page title, a link preview, or a notification preview. If a draft looks like it identifies someone, we say so before you post; you can revise or continue.

Nothing leaves the porch.

No screenshots, no quoting a member elsewhere, no forwarding. We do not sell community conversations, we do not run advertising targeted on what you write, and we will never use your words in marketing or to train a model. This is a house rule and it is enforced.

There are no direct messages.

On purpose. No private messaging, no chat, no member-to-member email, and members never see each other's email addresses. Conversation happens in the circle, where moderation can see it — which is exactly what makes a stranger's kindness safe to accept.

Human moderation, by caregivers who have had the same week.

Reports go to people, not a filter. Any post or reply can be reported, with a category; you get a receipt and the person you reported is never told who reported them. Moderators can hide content pending review, restore it, remove it, warn you, pause an account, or close one — always with a reason you are told, always written to a log that cannot be edited or deleted. If you think a decision was wrong, say so and someone else looks again.

You can block, mute, or step back — quietly.

Blocking is mutual and complete: you disappear from each other and neither of you can reply, react, or reach the other again. Muting is one-sided and silent — they are simply gone from your view, and they are never told. Both live in Settings, and both are reversible by you. Leaving a circle removes it from your porch.

What a moderator can and cannot see.

Moderators can read a reported message and the thread around it, so a sentence isn't judged out of context. They cannot read your saved posts, your check-ins, or who you have blocked or muted — not just because the screen doesn't show it, but because the database won't return it.

Experience is not medical authority.

What people share here is what happened in their own home. That is worth an enormous amount, and it is not a diagnosis, a treatment plan, legal advice, or an emergency service. Moderators are not clinicians, lawyers, or emergency responders. If a member presents themselves as a professional giving you instructions, report it.

If someone might not be safe.

If you or your child might not be safe right now, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US) or call 911. Do not wait for a reply here. A report that sounds like immediate danger is hidden straight away and goes to the front of the queue — but a person still has to read it, and that takes time we cannot promise away.

Moranne is a founding community. We do not publish member counts, endorsements, or testimonials we did not earn. The full house rules are in the community guidelines.
