How we keep the porch a porch.

Who this is for
Moranne is for adult parents and caregivers — 18 or older. Children may not create accounts, and there is nowhere in Moranne to give a child a profile. Every account is verified before it reaches the community: either a confirmed email address or a Google sign-in.
The five house rules
No fixing other people's children. No “have you tried” unless they asked for ideas. What someone writes here stays here — no screenshots, no repeating it elsewhere. Experience is experience, not a diagnosis or legal advice. No child's full name, school, case number, address, or photograph.
What is never allowed
Identifying a child or family. Harassment, contempt, ableism, racism, or any discrimination. Presenting medical or legal instructions as authority, or selling cures. Solicitation, recruiting, or promotion. Anything that endangers a child.
Nothing here is public
Posts and replies live behind sign-in. They are excluded from search engines, never appear on a public page, and never turn up in link previews or page titles. We do not sell community conversations, and we do not run advertising targeted on what you write.
There are no direct messages
On purpose. Moranne has no private messaging, no chat, and no member-to-member email. Conversation happens in the circle, where moderation can see it.
Report, block, mute
Every post and reply can be reported, with a category and optional context. You get a receipt, and the person you reported is never told who reported them. You can block someone — you both disappear from each other and can no longer reply or react — or mute someone, which quietly removes them from your view only. Both are managed in Settings.
What moderators can do
Moderators can hide content pending review, restore it, remove it, warn a member, suspend an account temporarily, or close it. Every action is written to a log that cannot be edited or deleted. Moderators follow a written playbook, and they are not clinicians, lawyers, or emergency responders.
Questions parents ask us first
Can my child join?
No. Moranne is adults only, 18 or older. Accounts confirm this before they reach the community, and children may not create accounts.
Can anyone read what I write?
Only members of the circle you posted in. Nothing is public, nothing is indexed by search engines, and there are no screenshots allowed.
What happens when I report something?
It goes into a moderator queue with a severity. Anything involving immediate danger is hidden straight away and escalated. You get a receipt, and your name is never shown to the person you reported.
Is there an emergency line here?
No. Moranne is company, not crisis care. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
