Eleven of them. They exist so nobody has to be brave to post here.
Effective 14 August 2026 · Policy version 2026-08
Adults, eighteen and over, who are raising or caring for a neurodivergent child — parents, stepparents, grandparents, foster and adoptive parents, guardians, and the aunt who does the school pickup. You confirm you are eighteen or older before you reach the community, and your account has to be verified: a confirmed email address or a Google sign-in. Children may not create accounts, and no child has a profile here. One account per person, in a name you will answer to.
A child's full name, school or district name, teacher's name, address, phone number, case or IEP number, date of birth, or an identifying photograph — anyone's child, including your own. No screenshots of Moranne, and no quoting, forwarding, or reposting another member's words anywhere else, ever. Image and file uploads are switched off, so there is nothing to attach.
That what happens on the porch stays on the porch. That you write about your own life, not someone else's child. That when you tell a story you leave out the details that would identify a real person. When something in your draft looks identifying, we say so before you post — you can revise or continue, and continuing is your call and your responsibility.
By design. Moranne has no private messaging, no chat, and no member-to-member email, and members never see each other's email addresses. Conversation happens in the circle, where moderation can see it. Do not use Moranne to arrange contact off-platform with someone you do not already know.
Everything here is lived experience — not medical, clinical, legal, educational, or emergency advice, and not a substitute for any of them. Do not present yourself as a clinician or lawyer giving instructions, and do not treat a member's story as a treatment plan. Moderators are members with a role, not clinicians, lawyers, or emergency responders. Moranne is not an emergency service and is not responsible for decisions you make after reading someone's Tuesday.
Identifying a child or family. Harassment, contempt, ableism, racism, or any discrimination. Dangerous medical or legal instruction given as authority, or selling cures. Solicitation, recruiting, or promotion. Sharing another member's words outside Moranne. Anything that endangers a child. Depending on what happened, a moderator may hide the content pending review, restore it, remove it, warn you, pause your account for a period, or close it. Every action is recorded with a reason in a log that cannot be edited or deleted, and you are told what happened.
Any post or reply can be reported, with a category and optional context. You get a receipt, and the person you reported is never told who reported them. You can block someone — you both disappear from each other, and neither can reply, react, or reach the other again — or mute them, which quietly removes them from your view only and tells them nothing. Both are managed in Settings and both are reversible by you. If a decision about your account feels wrong, reply to the note you were sent or write to hello@moranne.com; a moderator who did not make the original call looks again.
You keep ownership of everything you post. You give Moranne permission to display it inside the community to signed-in members of that circle, and nothing more. We do not sell community conversations, we do not run advertising targeted on what you write, and we will never use your words in marketing, testimonials, or to train a model.
You can leave a circle, block or mute a member quietly, or delete your account at any time — in Settings or by emailing hello@moranne.com. We can also close an account that repeatedly makes this place unsafe. Either way, your posts and replies come down with it; the moderation record of an action keeps your account as an ID only.
Moranne is a group of parents and caregivers. If someone might not be safe right now, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US) or call 911. Do not wait for a reply here. Reports that read like immediate danger are hidden straight away and moved to the front of the queue, but a person still has to read them.
Moranne is provided as-is, without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from using it. If a clause here is unenforceable, the rest still stands. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA. Questions or complaints: hello@moranne.com.
Something here feel wrong to you? Write to hello@moranne.com. These rules are meant to be argued with.
