Moranne

Privacy, plainly.

We collect very little, we never sell it, and none of it is searchable. Here is the whole picture.

What we collect.

An email address and a password so you can sign back in. A display name you choose, which does not have to be your legal name. The circles you join, the posts and replies you write, what you save, and who you have blocked or reported. That is the whole list.

What we never ask for.

Your child's full name, school, birthday, diagnosis list, or photo. There is no field for any of it. Please keep it that way in what you write, too — say "my kid," say "his school," and the story still lands.

Who can see what you write.

Only signed-in members of the circle you posted in. Nothing is public, nothing is indexed by search engines, and there is no public profile page. Moderators can read a reported message and the thread around it so a sentence is not judged out of context. They cannot read your saved posts or your block list.

Email we send you.

Account email only: confirming your address, resetting your password, and — if you turn them on — notifications about replies to your own posts. No newsletters, no promotions, no selling or sharing your address with anyone.

Analytics and tracking.

No advertising trackers, no third-party ad pixels, no selling of any data. We look at aggregate, anonymous traffic counts to know whether pages load and nothing about who you are.

Where your data lives.

In a managed Postgres database with row-level security, so a member's queries can only ever return the rows they are allowed to see. Passwords are stored hashed and never in plain text. Traffic is encrypted in transit.

How long we keep it.

For as long as your account exists. Delete a post and it goes; delete your account and your profile, posts, replies, saves and reactions are removed with it. Moderation records of an action taken against an account are kept for one year so decisions can be reviewed.

Deleting your account.

Email hello@moranne.com from the address on your account and ask. We remove it within seven days and write back to tell you it is done. You do not have to give a reason.

Children.

Moranne is for adults — parents and caregivers, eighteen and over. Accounts are not for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen.

Changes.

If we ever change something that matters here, we will say so on this page and in the community before it takes effect — not quietly.

Questions about any of this: hello@moranne.com. A person reads it.
